Our business has a strong impact on the environment and local communities, which is why we carry out our activities with respect for the environment, safety standards and society in general. On our drilling – mining and exploration sites, noise measurements are carried out in order to control the noise levels emitted.
Hazardous waste is disposed of in accordance with current regulations. The explosive products and pyrotechnic accessories used meet international standards and are stored in a facility classified for environmental protection. Mineex also ensures the safety of its sites of activity by applying strict safety rules and by making the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) mandatory.
Through our sustainable development approach, we contribute to the economic fabric of the areas where we operate through a policy of local hiring and support for local populations (donations, sponsorship, etc.).
Mineex affirmed its commitment to sustainable development by signing the United Nations Global Compact in 2015, supporting the ten principles regarding human rights, international labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
